Adventure, Connection, and Memories – Celebrate, Reflect, and Explore!

Now in its fifth year, Exploratory Week’s 8th Grade Campout is an unforgettable way to celebrate the transition into high school! Hosted at Camp David on the Olympic Peninsula, this five-day, four-night adventure is all about connection, fun, and the great outdoors. Students will stay in cozy cabins, enjoy amazing food, and take part in classic camp activities like swimming, field games, day hikes, and campfires under the stars. With plenty of time to relax and bond with friends, plus guided group conversations to reflect on middle school and the journey ahead, this experience is both a celebration and a rite of passage. This epic campout welcomes students of all genders and will be staffed by a diverse set of excited mentors. Get ready for a fun week of adventure, laughter, and lifelong memories!

 

X-Week Participants Will:

  • Celebrate & Connect – Strengthen friendships and build lasting bonds with classmates before stepping into high school.

  • Adventure in Nature – Explore the outdoors through hiking, swimming, and epic camp games.

  • Time to Reflect – Gather around the campfire and in small groups to share stories, celebrate middle school, and look ahead to what’s next.

  • Relax & Recharge – Enjoy downtime by the lake, kick back in cozy cabins, and experience delicious, home-cooked meals.

  • Unforgettable Fun – From field games to camp songs, every day is packed with laughter, play, and memories that will last a lifetime!
